In search for the ultimate lightbox application

Yesterday, I have been looking for some lightbox solutions that I can use for one of our campaigns in HardwareZone.com. I found quite a numer so I thought of sharing it just in case it might help you find which one is suitable for your project.

1. Lightbox JS V2.0 -Although this was the pioneer in the lightbox scene, this is limited to photos only. Good for displaying a gallery and showing those cute photos of yours.

2. LightWindow - Nice implementation of lightbox since it holds the content in an absolute position. LightBoxed contents are in an absolute position so no need to worry on losing focus when you hit those scrollbars.

3. subModal - Cross-browser DHTML lightbox solution. I found this application to be working both on firefox and IE. Simple and clean interface and great for popping out those messages and web sites.

4. Slimbox - The ultimate and lightweight Lightbox solution. This lightbox solution runs on the lightweight mootools framework. Same implementation with LightBox v2.0, just replace your header code.
