About Me

eMac Online is the home of my web development projects. It is actually a shortcut for my name ‘efren Macasaet Jr‘. I am a Filipino web developer working in Singapore under HardwareZone.com. My skills include PHP, MySQL, AJAX and other Web 2.0 techniques. I love the internet and spends basically most of my time online (of course this is my work).

Hobbies : I play basketball, tennis, and badminton so anyone out there who likes to challenge me on these stuffs, please do not. :p I want to spare you from the disgrace of losing. *kidding*. I drink occassionally and I don’t make it as a habit, so as smoking. I love clubbing and meeting new people.

Framework : I love the CakePHP Framework and basically do most of my programming stuffs with it. You can catch me often chatting on #cakephp under the irc.freenode.net network and masked as ‘emaconline’.

CMS : My most favorite Content Management System (CMS) will definitely be drupal due to its power, simplicity, and flexibility.

Projects : Under CakeForge, I started an open source project named ‘Glued!‘ which is a ’social networking’ script developed under the CakePHP framework. Web 2.0 has definitely made the emphasis on the internet as a ’social glue’ that’s why I came up with such a name.
